Organized by the UNHCR Joint Data Center on Forced Displacement (JDC) in collaboration with the African School of Economics (ASE) and the World Bank, the 3rd Research Conference on Forced Displacement conference will focus on the socioeconomic aspects of forced displacement, particularly for internally displaced people (IDPs) and stateless individuals. A key area of exploration will be the specific challenges faced by displaced populations in sub-Saharan Africa. It will also delve into innovative methods for collecting and analyzing data related to forced displacement.

Additionally, discussions will examine how data and evidence can be used to improve operations and policies in displacement settings. The conference will explore pan-African solutions aimed at reintegrating and including forcibly displaced communities. It will happen in a hybrid setting, in Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire) and online.
