Systematic Approach

Systematic Approach

EGRISS uses the GAIN Survey and case studies to build a structured, evidence-based picture of global implementation.

Evidence-based Analysis

Evidence-based Analysis

Tracking progress on Recommendations' use helps identify what is working and where support is needed most.

Peer-learning

Peer-learning

Findings support peer-exchange among members and guide future updates to the Recommendations.

Understanding how the IRRS, IRIS and IROSS are implemented by national statistics offices and international organisations is essential to improving statistics on refugees, internally displaced persons and stateless persons worldwide. This is why monitoring implementation is an important area of our work. EGRISS tracks progress through both quantitative and qualitative ways, and findings from this feed directly into peer-to-peer learning among out membership, enabling them to learn from one another’s experiences rather than working through the same challenges independently.

They also strengthen practical guidance and provide the evidence base for future revisions of the Recommendations themselves, ensuring they remain grounded in the realities faced by those compiling these statistic. If your country or organisation has implementation experiences to share, please get in contact.
