Developed by EGRISS and UN-SIAP, this facilitated edition includes live webinars, a structured learning schedule, and interactive discussions alongside the core modules. It covers the IRRS, IRIS and IROSS — definitions, classifications, methodologies, data sources, coordination mechanisms, and SDG linkages.

Offered once every two years. Previous participants welcome as a refresher; new participants especially encouraged.

Building Capacity to improve Statistics on Forced Displacement

This report summarizes the main points discussed during the EGRIS-JIPS 2020 Conference to improve statistics on forced displacement.

Bringing together a diverse group of decision-makers and experts at national, regional and global levels, the Conference raised awareness of the International Recommendations on Refugee and IDP Statistics (IRRS & IRIS) and the importance of capacity building for the implementation of the international statistical standards. This report further showcases concrete efforts already made by actors at the national, regional, and international levels towards implementing the international recommendations. Finally, the report emphasizes the importance of sustainable funding for long-term capacity development.
