The Compilers’ Manual (CM) offers operational instructions on collecting and disseminating official statistics on refugees, asylum seekers, IDPs and related populations. An initial draft was shared and welcomed by the UN Statistical Commission in March 2020. The CM is a ‘living document’, which will be revised and enhanced as the body of expertise and knowledge develops worldwide.
The Manual is currently structured around the eight phases of the Generic Statistical Business Process Model with an additional ninth phase on coordination.
The document is based on contributions and examples provided by EGRISS members and it supports the implementation of both the refugee and IDP recommendations.
