IDMC’s Global Report on Internal Displacement (GRID) is the official repository of data and analysis on internal displacement.
The first part of the report presents updated data on internal displacement at the global level. This section provides information on new displacements in 2020, including displacements due to disasters and violence. The second part of the report presents the role of climate change in disaster displacement.
The report highlights the importance of the International Recommendations on IDP Statistics (IRIS) to address displacement in all its forms collectively, as well as the central role of national governments in generating and using reliable displacement data.
