As part of a training on Protection in Urban Settings organized by the San Remo International Institute of Humanitarian Law, EGRISS co-facilitated a session focused on the specific elements of the international recommendations on refugee and IDP statistics applicable to urban settings. Overall, the first edition of the training aimed at enhancing the capacity of stakeholders to design policies to tackle displacement in urban setting; empowering participants to advocate for the protection of forcibly displaced in urban settings; and share best practices and foster peer-to-peer learning. The Course was developed to benefit different stakeholders primarily working at the municipal and local level, who play a fundamental role in ensuring the wellbeing of displaced persons.
