The revised Data for Solutions to Internal Displacement (DSID) Initiative focuses on supporting collective efforts to bring alignment within the existing data landscape and facilitate more robust and joined-up data systems for solutions – that allow for a reorientation of strategy, policy and programme development towards government-led solutions where possible, supported by humanitarian and development actors. It is grounded in the International Recommendations on Internally Displaced Persons Statistics (IRIS) and aligned with ongoing efforts at the international level to improve data coherence and strengthen government-led data systems.
The document is the outcome of an independent review and revision process under the supervision of the global DSID Working Group co-chairs, UNDP and IOM. It has benefited from the valuable contributions and support of stakeholders including the EGRISS Secretariat, UNHCR, JIPS, JDC, IDMC, and the IMPACT Initiatives.
