Statistical inclusion data within the 2023 GCR Report

17 November 2023

On 17th November 2023, UNHCR launched the 2023 Global Compact on Refugees Indicator Report ahead of next month’s Global Refugee Forum. Mirroring the diverse voices featured in the report, the panel showcased statistical expertise, refugees and development perspectives. With international (UNHCR, JDC, OECD, World Bank), and national (Statistics Norway, Somalia’s National Bureau of Statistics, Ethiopia’s UN Permanent Mission) representation, panelists highlighted the importance of inclusion of forcibly displaced in national statistics, as well as EGRISS’ role.

The event focused on the findings about relevant progress made since 2019 and important work to be done.
