Event Description
Organised by the co-leaders of the Multi-stakeholder Pledge on Inclusion of Forcibly Displaced and Stateless Persons in National Statistical Systems and Surveys and the Multi-stakeholder Pledge on Economic Inclusion and Social Protection, with the support of UNHCR, this webinar will delve into the synergies between “statistical inclusion” and “inclusive socio-economic policies” for forcibly displaced and stateless populations. It will provide a platform to discuss and showcase examples of how inclusive national statistics can serve as a foundation for effective economic and social policy addressing the protection and wellbeing of forcibly displaced and stateless people and the local communities they live in. Additionally, it will raise awareness about the resources and mechanisms available to support government and development stakeholders in translating their inclusion commitments into tangible results.
Significant attention and support from a wide range of stakeholders have collectively inspired over 370 contributions from various entities progressing the implementation of the Global Compact for Refugees. The public webinar will help maintain the momentum created during the Global Refugee Forum 2023 and ahead of the High-Level Officials Meeting in December 2025.
