This report provides a review of the availability of SDG indicators disaggregated by forced displacement and assesses the feasibility of measuring these indicators based on existing data and metadata. The indicators explored in this report are the 12 SDG indicators that EGRISS recommends being disaggregated by forced displacement in order to measure refugees’ inclusion in host communities.
The report begins by assessing the feasibility of estimating disaggregated indicators and evaluates some of the main challenges in performing this task. It then explores the data sources that can be used to improve statistics on forced displacement. Furthermore, the report presents the experience of two countries in incorporating forcibly displaced persons into their national statistical systems. Finally, recommendations are presented to address some of the challenges related to the production of SDG indicators disaggregated by forced displacement.
