The focus of this report is to showcase UNHCR’s systematic work on forced displacement across all spectrums, which includes a more decisive and predictable engagement with internally displaced people (IDPs) worldwide. The report further elaborates on how UNHCR has streamlined addressing internal displacement in its operational and programmatic work, focusing on addressing internal and external structures to build a better response towards new protection challenges towards IDPs. Among other elements, the report highlights the importance of quality data to support evidence informed IDP advocacy, programming, monitoring assistance and service delivery.
