From 30 August to 5 September, the Faculty of Science at Charles University (Prague, Czechia) will host the 2026 Summer School on Migration Studies. Organized by the Geographic Migration Centre (GEOMIGRACE) , in partnership with IOM Czechia, UNIC Prague, UNHCR Czechia, and the Jan Masaryk Foundation, the week-long programme offers an intensive, interdisciplinary examination of migration, bringing together students and early-career professionals from around the world with over 20 international scholars and practitioners.

Participants engage with pressing global challenges spanning policy, law, geography, gender, demography, and environmental migration, exploring themes such as integration, development, and labour mobility through direct dialogue with academics, international and non-governmental organisations, and migrant-led initiatives. Since 2009, the programme has hosted more than 1,000 participants from over 100 countries, in partnership with institutions including IMISCOE, CzechAid, and the OSCE.
