The 56th session of the United Nations Statistical Commission will take place in person from 4 to 7 March 2025 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. It will include discussion on national accounts, the population and housing census programme, data governance, the SDG indicator framework, food security and nutrition, among many other topics. The provisional annotated agenda for the 2025 session has now been posted on the website.
The Statistical Commission consists of 24 member countries of the United Nations, elected by the United Nations Economic and Social Council on the basis of an equitable geographical distribution. The term of office of members is four years.
